[Our stories are combination of fact and fiction. Read these just for fun and we are not responsible if you take these seriously]Former BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur has been accused of misappropriation of funds while setting up the floodlights at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai during his tenure at the helm of the 74-year-old club. The current CCI president, I M Kadri, has asked an audit company to probe the alleged embezzlement of funds by Dungarpur who, however, vehemently denied it.
As soon as Subhas Chandra, the Chairman of Zee TV, read about this in his family-owned newspaper 'The Times of Zee', he contacted Kapil Dev and together they visited Mr. Dungarpur's home and invited him to join ICL. They were sure that with his experience of robbing off CCI (if not BCCI), he would be of immense help in building up a good fund and a good cricket team for ICL.
Mr. Dungarpur was initially much hesitant and was worried if it would be profitable for him to be in ICL under a tight administration maintained by Mr. Chandra. But finally he agreed and joined.
We are aware Mr. Subhas Chandra enjoyed the brightest limelight of the entertainment industry for a long time. We are not sure how long he would be able to enjoy his stature. As we know it, immediately after joining ICL, Mr. Dungarpur started busying himself with gaining a good insight into the funding machine of 'limelight' utilizing his previous experience in the business of 'floodlight'.
